The department of chemistry was established in the academic year 1983 with B.Sc. B.Z.C group Telugu as the medium.

• The Department of Chemistry has been participating in teaching at undergraduate level in adverse range of chemistry currently offers three years Bachelors in Chemistry programme & followed CBCS System. The department of Chemistry lab has well established Lab structure and lot of equipment in practical purpose well qualified teaching staff
• The Department of Chemistry is one of the key and oldest department in the government Degree college Kodur (RS)
• The Department has been alert to the changes in the sociological environment and has been constantly updating in the curriculum.
